Unzip the FF13Fix_164.zip file and copy the files inside the zip file to the same bin folder where you previously copied the dxvk files. Now download the latest version of the FF13Fix from this link here FF13Fix 1.6.4 You copy the files inside the bin folder. Unzip the dxvk-1.8.1.tar.gz file and copy the files in the x32 folder to the folder:įINAL FANTASY XIII/white_data/prog/win/ bin folder. You can get it from this link here DXVK 1.8.1 Use the normal version of dxvk and not the async version. The stuttering method of shader compilation is probably increasing the allocated memory more compared to the async one.Īn way to solve this will be to increasing the game's allocated memory to be more than 2gb. The crashes that arise when using dxvk with this game is mostly due to the compiled vulkan shaders that max out the 2gb of memory that the game allocates. From my limited knowledge on async shader cache, its kinda like an tradeoff to the stuttering method of shader caching which I assume is what the normal dxvk comes with. Originally posted by ioev:I was using DXVK (async) with success for about 4 hours, now 5 hoursish into the game and the framerate and missing models/textures is making is pretty much unplayable. So far it does w/o anything crash so far right now but hopefully this will help someone. Then find install.exe and then install it and just follow the steps literally just type yes or no yes etc.Īnd then let it do it's thing and then run the game and see if it works. Go to the d912pxy folder that you copied into the FF13.exe location. \\Steam\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY XIII\white_data\prog\win\bin\ffxiiiimg.exeīUT DONT REMOVE THE FILES in the D912pxy folder AND PLACE INTO THE FF13 EXE LOCATION DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT So someone made a tool that should fix it and in my case I haven't had a crash yet.Ĭopy folder to the exe folder of ff13 which would be TLDR 5700XT and 5700 AMD GPU's have some driver issue with DX9 right now which we don't know if it will be patched in a readily accessible timeframe. ![]() But I found something else, that someone made for a semi-related reason.
